Visualization is any technique for creating images, diagrams, or animations to communicate a message. Visualization through visual imagery is an effective way to communicate both abstract and concrete ideas.
The Visualisation examples available through this website use the Google Earth KMZ format to overlay data on the Google Earth digital globe.
Since the LMLF data is Landscape based, it seemed appropriate to use a digital globe such as Google Earth to overlay the data on. The Dryland Scenarios are geographic overlays for each scenario and policy.
The Riverine Corridor overlays were developed as a geographic overlay for showing future Salt, Flow and EC impact as a 50 year futuristic time sequence on Google Earth.
The Google Earth Visualisations were created by the Department of Primary Industries Victoria.
